Can anyone be hypnotized?
Yes, it is a normal state that everybody passes through before going to sleep. However, it is possible to resist hypnosis like it is possible to resist going to sleep. But even if one resists hypnosis, with practice the resistance can be overcome.
Who can practice hypnosis?
Only a qualified professional should decide whether one needs hypnosis or could benefit from it. The professional person requires special training in the techniques and uses of hypnosis before she can be considered qualified, and should be certified and belong to a self-regulatory organization.
What is suggestion?
In definition, suggestion is the subconscious realization of an idea. It occurs below the threshold of consciousness.
What is a trance?
A trance is a state of detachment from physical surroundings as in contemplation.
What is post-hypnotic suggestion?
Post-hypnotic suggestions are suggested responses given during hypnosis to take effect after the removal of the hypnotic state.
How long should a person remain hypnotized?

It depends on the individuals need. Hypnosis puts the mind into “neutral gear” which is good for one, as it removes stress and nervous tension.
Will a person always awaken from hypnosis?
Of course. Even in the most profound hypnosis, left to themselves, people will awaken from hypnosis when they need to or when suggested by the therapist.
What is self-hypnosis?
Self-hypnosis is a relaxation exercise for reinforcing the hypnotic process. The client can learn self-hypnosis and use this wonderful tool to unblock the powers of his or her own brain.
